Warrenton, Virginia is conveniently located in an area where a lot
of different fun activities take place in the surrounding cities and towns. For
example, this coming weekend is the 31st Annual Vintage Virginia Wine Festival in
Centreville, Virginia, just 23 miles north of Warrenton off of I-66. It takes place on
Saturday, June 2nd from 11:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday, June 3rd from 11:00am –
5:00pm. There are going to be more than 50 wineries from all across Virginia at
this event, offering free tastings, educational seminars on good food pairings
for different wines, fine art exhibits, and live entertainment as well as
various activities for children. There is also delicious food available for
everyone to try including Maryland’s famous crab cakes, Giovanni’s Italian
artisan breads and cheeses, as well as nuts, spreads and sweets.
The Vintage Virginia Wine Festival is one of the largest and
longest-running wine events on the East Coast. Virginia is the fifth largest
wine producer in the country, with more than 200 wineries across the state.
