Great Harvest Bakery

Years ago Old Town Warrenton had a bakery on Main Street that served the most delicious donuts and pastries named Cardinal Bakery. Sadly Cardinal Bakery ended up closing shop and for the longest time, Old Town did not have any bakery on Main Street. However within the last 10 years, two bakeries have managed to open their doors to the residents of Warrenton. Great Harvest Bakery opened only a few years ago and it has since made quite a name for itself as being one of the best bakeries in town.
Like most people I know, I love a good muffin, cinnamon roll or freshly brewed cup of coffee in the morning to help wake me up and prepare me for the day. This past Saturday I decided that before I went out and ran errands in town I would stop in Great Harvest Bakery for breakfast. Upon walking in the doors I could immediately smell the delicious bread that was being made fresh for the day. The bakery itself is a small, quaint area with only 3 or 4 tables for seating. It is packed full of cookie mixes, muffin mixes and so many more goodies available for people to buy and make at home. I knew as soon as I saw the list of muffins that were available that I was going to go for the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. Boy was I not disappointed. The muffin was filled with chocolate chips and the pumpkin flavor was just delicious.
From muffins to cookies to cakes to sandwiches, Great Harvest Bakery serves a little something for everyone. All the baked goods are made daily with fresh local ingredients. The staff at the bakery is extremely helpful and friendly and it is quite obvious that they love what they do. Serving breakfast, lunch and coffee, Great Harvest Bakery is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00am – 6:00pm. Stop by today for a delicious pastry or cup of coffee. You will not be disappointed.
