The Warrenton Aquatic and Recreational Center was built in September 2007 as a response to the increasing demand for a recreational facility in the area. The facility features an 11 lane indoor competition pool, a therapeutic spa, a leisure pool with a water slide, lazy river, and zero depth entry for easy entrance by toddlers, seniors and those in wheelchairs. The facility also includes a fitness room with state of the art machines including treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical machines as well as free weights and other weight training machines.
The facility is conveniently located off route 211 just on the outer edge of Warrenton. It is surrounded with soccer fields, playgrounds, a roller hockey rink and a skateboarding park for kids to use and enjoy. Each month there are specials at the aquatic and recreational facility that offer discounts for classes and gym memberships. For the month of January 2012, the facility is offering two new classes in the evenings which are Body Pump and TRX Suspension Training.
