Shenandoah Mountains: Skyline Drive

One of the more beautiful scenic activities that people like to do when they stay in the local Warrenton area is travel to the Shenandoah Mountains. The Shenandoah Mountains are located approximately 1 hour away from Warrenton and are well worth the long drive. Skyline Drive is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Mountains and is 105 miles of stunning scenery and charming historical sites. There are over 75 spots for people to pull over and look out over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Many people like to travel to these mountains when the seasons are changing to take in the gorgeous fall colors or the beautiful trees budding as spring arrives. In addition to Skyline Drive, there are also several trails located in the Shenandoah Mountains for those people who are a little bit more adventurous and enjoy hiking or camping. Whatever you may like to take part in while visiting the Shenandoah Mountains, one thing is for sure, it is well worth the trip!
