Molly’s Irish Pub Wearing O’ The Green 5K Fundraiser

Being someone who takes pride in exercising on a regular basis and eating healthy, I am always interested when someone talks about a race for a special cause. A couple of weeks ago, the owner of Molly’s Irish Pub stopped by the hotel asking for two compensated guest rooms as a donation to the annual 5K Fundraiser they put together each year. I knew that I immediately wanted to be a part of this cause because this year the race is being run in honor of the late Sgt. Sean Callahan. Sgt. Sean Callahan was a United States Marine who passed away on April 23, 2011 in service to our great nation. Sgt. Callahan was a Warrenton hometown hero and all those running in Sunday’s race will be running in memory and in honor of this great soldier. The race is going to start on Main Street in Old Town Warrenton and will cover 3.2 miles of the local Warrenton area. All proceeds will be donated to TAPS, or Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, which provides emotional help, hope and healing to all those who are grieving the death of a loved one in the military. If you are in the area and want to participate in the race, just visit www.active.com to sign up today!
